Gas Up Your Car with Vegetable Oil Video | “10 Cents a Gallon, You Can’t Beat It”
Mon, 16 Jun 2008 17:38:53 PDT
With the increasing cost of gas (my God, it’s nearly $4 now), car owners are looking for any method of saving money. For some of us, that means getting a hybrid car. But for Christina here, that means using vegetable oil. Crazy? Well, not as crazy as 10 cents a gallon. Fed up with “the system” not doing anything about the gas crisis, Christina Wu took it upon herself to buy a 1981 diesel Mercedes modified to run off vegetable oil. Rather than filling up at a pump, she goes to the grocery

Fake Bumps Used To Slow Down Philly Drivers
Mon, 16 Jun 2008 17:39:38 PDT
Philadelphia is rolling out a program to try to get motorists to slow down. The city is putting out high-tech plastic devices that create a 3-D image that looks like a bump in the road. Chief traffic engineer Charles Denny says in reality, the road is perfectly flat. The public awareness program is called "Drive Care Philly." Denny says the goal is simple: to change the driver's mind-set to be less aggressive. The devices will be deployed at about 100 intersections around Philadelphia. Th
